WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest women’s tennis will compete in its own backyard for the first time this fall, hosting the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Carolina Regionals later this week through the weekend (Oct. 13-17).

In their last outing, the Demon Deacons had six total players appear in the ITA All-American Championships, held at the Cary Tennis Center in Cary, N.C. Three Deacs earned singles wins in the first round of pre-qualifying play. Anna Brylin and Brooke Killingsworth, tabbed as the No. 3 doubles pair in the ITA’s fall rankings, stepped into the main draw to earn a Round of 32 victory.
The Carolina Regionals will be Wake Forest’s third event of the 2022 fall campaign.

About a Year Ago …
The ITA Carolina Regionals returns to Winston-Salem this fall after being hosted by the Deacons a year ago. In total, Wake Forest had seven participants who combined for 14 total victories. Casie Wooten and Samantha Martinelli stood out with a pair of singles wins apiece, adding two doubles victories while playing alongside each other.
