CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Once again on the road for a second consecutive Big Four showing, No. 24 Wake Forest women’s tennis made its way into Tar Heel territory on Saturday afternoon (April 8) to face No. 1 North Carolina (26-0, 12-0) inside of the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center. The host went on to stay undefeated in a 4-0 victory.
Now standing at a 14-11 (4-7) record, the Demon Deacons have one more incoming week of regular-season competition.
No. 23 Anna Brylin/Brooke Killingsworth showed out in the contest, reeling in a ranked win over No. 22 Reese Brantmeier/Elizabeth Scotty. It was the duo’s second such victory of the spring. Brylin/Killingsworth hold a 13-4 clip in 2023.
Facing a top-25 national foe in North Carolina’s Abbey Forbes during singles play, Killingsworth won her opening set before play went unfinished.
