STANFORD, Calif. – Three members of the Husky men’s tennis team competed today at the ITA NW Super Regionals, hosted by Stanford at the Taube Tennis Stadium. Dzianis Zharyn and Cesar Bouchelaghem earned opening round wins, but fell in the round of 16.
 
Bouchelaghem had a first round win over Jonathan Irwanto of Cal, 6-1, 6-4, in his first match of the fall season. But he lost a tight one in the next round to Jan Silva of Sacramento State by a 6-4, 7-6 (5) count.
 
Zharyn rolled in his first match, 6-1, 6-1, against Ray Lo of Oregon. But he fell in a marathon second match, 4-6, 7-5, 7-6 (4) against Hudson Rivera of Stanford.
 
Han-Chih Lin also opened his fall season but dropped a three setter to Oscar Brown of Portland, 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.
 
Saturday, Zharyn and Bouchelaghem will start a run in doubles as the No. 1 overall seed.
