Cougars Run Ends at ITA Northwest Regionals

STANFORD, Calif. – The Washington State Tennis duo of Eva Alvarez Sande and Elyse Tse saw their tournament come to an end in the Round of 16 Sunday at the 2023 ITA Northwest Regionals, played at the Taube Family Tennis Center.

Alvarez Sande and Tse, the No. 4-seeded team, dropped an 8-4 match to Cal Poly’s Delanie Dunkle and Peyton Dunkle. After wining its first two matches of the tournament, the Cougar pair never round its groove Sunday, falling to the unseeded Mustang team.

The loss brings an end to the tournament for the Cougars, who are next in action Oct. 27 at the Gonzaga Invitational in Spokane.
