COLUMBUS, Ohio – Joshua Charlton and Quinn Vandecasteele advanced to the semifinals of the ITF M25 today, picking up a three-set win in the quarterfinals.
The first-round win was a sweep over Alfredo Casso and Reece Yakubov, 6-1, 6-1. In the quarterfinals, the pair was pushed to a tiebreak. Cannon Kingsley and Bryce Nakashima took the first set 6-4 before the Ducks bounced back with a 6-3 win in the second and an 11-9 tiebreaker to secure the victory.
They’ll play Brandon Carpico and Preston Steams not before 10 a.m. PT on Friday.
Charlton won his first singles match 6-1, 6-2 before facing Alexander Bernard in the second round, falling 3-6, 6-3, 6-3. Vandecasteele won two matches in qualifying to advance to the main draw, where he dropped his first match to the No. 2 seeded Aidan Mayo, 2-6, 7-5, 6-4.
