Cats to Open Fall Play at Wildcat Invite, USC +1


TUCSON – The Arizona men’s tennis team is set to open its fall slate as it hosts the Wildcat Invite and additionally competes at the USC +1 Sept. 15-17. 

Eric Padgham, Dominique Rolland, Sasha Rozin and Casper Christensen will represent the Wildcats at the Wildcat Invite while Jay Friend, Nick Lagaev and Inaki Cabrera-Bello will make the trip to South Carolina.

Draws are not yet available for the USC +1. Check the Arizona men’s tennis schedule page and Twitter for updates as they are available.

WILDCAT INVITE

Arizona’s Friday, Sept. 15 Morning Matches

8:00 a.m. (MST) Christensen/Rozin (Doubles) vs. Tobias Wallin/Gustavo Campos (UNM)

8:30 a.m. (MST) – Padgham/Rolland vs. Itay Feigin/Luca Fe D’Ostiani (NMSU)

9:15 a.m. (MST) – Christensen vs. Aram Noroozian (UNM)

10:45 a.m. (MST) – Rozin vs. Itay Feigin (NMSU)

10:45 a.m. (MST) – Rolland vs. Luca Fe D’Ostiani (NMSU)

Padgham and Rolland are the top-seeded doubles duo in the Wilma draw and received a first-round bye. The pair’s initial matchup will be their quarterfinal competition.

Christensen will compete in singles as the second-seeded player in the Blue draw while Rozin is slated as the No. 1 seed in the Red draw. Rolland is also the top-seeded competitor in his draw, the White draw. The tournament will mark Rozin’s first appearance for the Wildcats.
