Previously On

Arizona and Utah last faced off in the semifinals of the Pac-12 Tournament when third-seeded Utah was able to get a 4-3 win over the Wildcats. The Utes won the doubles point with wins on courts one and three. Colton Smith won his singles match, and Hermann Hoeyeraal gave the Cats the lead with a win on his singles court. Gustaf Strom won the third team point for Arizona, but wins on the remaining courts by Utah won them the match.

The Wildcats remain in the top ten nationally, checking into the rankings at No. 8. Smith is the highest-ranked singles player for Arizona at No. 18 and is joined in the singles rankings by 30th-ranked Jay Friend and No. 77 Strom. Smith and Friend are ranked in doubles at No. 25.
