Buckeyes in Action at ITA All-American Championships – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Irina Cantos Siemers and Sydni Ratliff of the Ohio State women’s tennis team are in Cary, N.C., for the 2022 ITA All-American Championships this week.

Main Draw Singles

Cantos Siemers is the No. 7 seed in the 32-player main draw. She opened the tournament with a straight-set win over Emma Jackson of Duke, 6-3, 6-3.

The Buckeye junior will take on Texas A&M’s Mary Stoiana in the second round Thursday.

Main Draw Doubles

In the first round of the 32-team doubles draw, Cantos Siemers and Ratliff fell to Elizabeth Scotty and Abigail Forbes of North Carolina, 6-3, 6-3. The Buckeyes will now play in the consolation bracket.

Qualifying Singles

Ratliff was a No. 9-16 seed in the 64-player qualifying draw. She rallied to win her opening round match against Katja Wiersholm of Cal, 5-7, 6-3, 6-0. In the second round, Ratliff fell to Vanderbilt’s Celia-Belle Mohr, 6-1, 6-2.
