Buckeyes Competing at Furman – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Members of the Ohio State women’s tennis team are taking part in the 35th Annual Debbie Southern Furman Fall Classic Greenville, S.C., this weekend.

Friday included two rounds of doubles and one round of singles. Saturday features one round of each and the final singles round set for Sunday, with play starting at 9 a.m. each day.

Ohio State is joined by players from Furman, North Carolina, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Mississippi State, Duke, South Carolina, Georgia Tech and Clemson.

On day one, the doubles tandem of Madeline Away and Dani Schoenly posted a first-round win to lead the Buckeyes. In singles, Shelly Bereznyak dropped a three-set match, while Atway fell to the No. 28-ranked player from North Carolina.
