Rolling Hills Estates, Calif. – Three members of Oregon’s men’s tennis team advanced to the quarterfinals of the Jack Kramer invite today.
 
Vlad Breazu, Jesper Klov-Nilsson and Ray Lo each won two matches on Friday to give Oregon three of the eight quarterfinalists. Breazu’s first match would not be completed, and his second match was fight with the No. 5 seed of the tournament, Lambert Ruland from San Diego. Breazu took the match with a 6-7 (2), 7-6 (4), 6-4 win that showcased his grit.
 
Klov-Nilsson’s route featured consecutive sweeps with a first round win over UC San Diego’s Daniel Traxler (6-1, 6-3), followed by a victory of San Diego’s Stian Klassen (6-4, 6-4). Lo rounds out the quarterfinalists for Oregon after a three-set win over Arizona’s Dominique Rolland and a straight-set win over the No. 3 seeded Pablo Masjuan from UC Santa Barbara.
 
All three of the quarterfinalists will play at 10 a.m. on Saturday for a chance to advance to the semis.
