DES MOINES, Iowa- In its first road match of the year, the Purdue men’s tennis team fell to the Drake Bulldogs on Saturday night.
With redshirt sophomore Daniel Labrador back in the lineup, he and Tomasz Dudek were able to set the Boilers up for an early lead. Labrador/Dudek handled their opponents 6-3 at No. 1 and handed the baton to Michal Wozniak/Julen Morgan who pushed a tiebreak at No. 2.
While Wozniak/Morgan never gave up the fight, their continuous comebacks into the match wore out when they were defeated 7-6(5) giving Drake the 1-0 lead.
The match progressed with the Bulldogs quickly pulling away to clinch the victory 4-0. They went on to shut out the Boilermakers when Wozniak and Mujtaba Ali-Khan both lost in their 10-point tiebreak sets.

The Boilermakers return home to West Lafayette on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 1 p.m. to take on the Ball State Cardinals.
