BERKELEY – The California women’s tennis team won a combined 15 singles and doubles matches as its annual Cal Winter Invitational came to an end Sunday at the Hellman Tennis Complex and Channing Tennis Courts.

Golden Bears Valentina Ivanov and Katja Wiersholm collected quality wins over ranked USC opponents on a dry and relatively warm, winter day, which contrasted with Saturday, when the tournament’s matches were rained out. Wiersholm, ranked 36th, defeated the 83rd-ranked Eryn Cayetano, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4, while Ivanov beat the 22nd-ranked Emma Charney, 6-3, 1-6, 6-0.
