COLUMBUS, Ohio – Wisconsin’s nine-match win streak came to an end at the hands of No. 9 Ohio State Friday evening. The Badgers, who hadn’t lost since January, battled on most of the courts, but ultimately fell short in a 7-0 loss.
In doubles action, the duos of Alina Mukhortova/Xinyu Cai and Taylor Cataldi/Charmaine Seah both made the Buckeyes work, before falling 6-4 on courts two and three.
On the singles courts, Alina Mukhortova rallied from a 6-0 first-set loss to Isabelle Boulais, to win the second frame, 1-6. However, Boulais held on 6-3 in the final set to claim the win.
On court 6, Seah took Akanksha Bhanto to a third set, but ultimately dropped a 7-6, 0-6, 1-0 (10-3) decision at No. 6 singles.
