SCOUTING GEORGIA

Tennessee (12-5, 3-1 SEC) has won three of the past four meetings with Georgia, with the latest win for the Vols coming in the 2022 SEC Tournament quarterfinals in Athens, 4-1, over the Bulldogs. Georgia (10-5, 4-0 SEC) leads the all-time series 66-35-1, dating to 1947. A win would mark Tennessee’s third consecutive win over the Bulldogs when the match is played in Athens.

JO MOMENTUM

Johannus Monday, a two-time ITA Singles All-American, is a combined 24-2 in dual singles and doubles matches this spring. At 12-1 in singles and 12-1 on the doubles courts this spring, 18 of those 24 total wins are at the No. 1 lineup spot (9-1 at No. 1 singles and 9-1 at No. 1 doubles). Monday is one of four players in the nation to currently be ranked inside the ITA’s top five in doubles and top 10 in singles.

HUDD EYES THE CENTURY MARK

• While clinching the doubles point alongside Shunsuke Mitsui Thursday at Alabama, Tennessee’s Emile Hudd earned the 90th overall doubles win of his career. Over half of those wins (47-of-90) have come in Tennessee orange. Hudd earned 43 doubles victories while playing at Oklahoma State.

HISTORY IN SIGHT

Pat Harper, with 88 career overall doubles wins at Tennessee, is seven wins away from cracking the top-10 on the program’s all-time doubles wins list. Should he reach 100 career doubles wins by season’s end, he would become just the ninth Vol to ever do so in a career.
