Alicia Dudeney Named to SEC Community Service Team


The sophomore has given back to the community in a multitude of ways during the 2022-23 season.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Florida women’s tennis sophomore Alicia Dudeney has been named to the 2023 Southeastern Conference Women’s Tennis Community Service Team, the league announced Thursday afternoon.
 
Dudeney has impacted the Gainesville community in a multitude of ways during her sophomore year at Florida. In the beginning of the fall, Dudeney participated in the Gators Reading Program at Lake Forest Elementary.
 
During the holiday season, the native of Hove, United Kingdom was involved in the Gators Tracks initiative. Dudeney helped wrap and distribute shoes at local elementary schools as part of the annual Florida student-athlete led initiative. Gator student-athletes purchased and distributed over 400 pairs of shoes to local children in need of a new pair of shoes in December of 2022.
 
To begin the spring semester, Dudeney participated in a visit to UF Health Shands Hospital where she visited patients in the pediatric oncology unit to play a plethora of games and spend time coloring.
 
The Gators will finish their regular season with a pair of road matches beginning at Alabama Friday, April 14 at 4 p.m. ET followed by at Auburn Sunday, April 16 at 1 p.m.
