LOS ANGELES- USC men’s tennis (5-11, 0-2 Pac-12) falls to No. 28 UCLA (8-6, 1-2 Pac-12) in the cross-town cup on Friday, Mar. 29, at the Marks Tennis Stadium in Los Angeles.
UCLA had a strong start to the match, winning the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles matches to take the doubles point. Peter Makk and Lodewijk Weststrate snagged a Trojan doubles win, snapping a five-game losing streak and winning 6-2 in the No. 1 doubles spot.
Lodewijk Weststrate had the sole Trojan singles victory on the day, beating his opponent at the No. 2 singles spot 2-6, 6-0, 6-2.
USC rallied to bring three of the six singles matches to a third set, before falling the Bruins 4-1.
