TEMPE – Sun Devil Men’s Tennis welcomed Mikey Anderson, Tanner Povey, and Jimin Jung to the program on National Signing Day 2023.
“All three crush it in the classroom and are incredibly well-liked by their peers,” Men’s Tennis head coach Matt Hill said. “I honestly couldn’t be more excited about the future of our program.”
Mikey Anderson | Delray Beach, Florida
Anderson comes in as a five-star recruit who is ranked in the top 25 nationally and is the number three recruit from the state of Florida. He has amassed a 36-29 record in the junior circuit and won the 16’s double championship at the Eddie Herr International.
“He’s a great kid who’s very hardworking and humble. He comes from a great family and is a great character which is always a big piece of the the puzzle,” Hill commented. “We see him having a huge impact on the lineup right away, so we couldn’t be more excited to welcome him to the family.”

Tanner Povey | Indian Rocks Beach, Florida
Povey is the second five-star recruit in the class of 2023 for ASU. The 6’3″ lefty comes in ranked number four in the state of Florida and has an impressive 39-16 record in the junior circuit. He has a prized list of accomplishments including winning the 16’s double championship at the Eddie Herr International.
“We fell in love with him as a person through the recruiting process and just knew he would be an incredible fit for how this program functions. He has the whole package in the skills department and he’s an even better competitor and person,” Hill said. “We are thrilled to have Tanner as a part of our Sun Devil family.”

Jung is a Blue-Chip American from Cary, North Carolina. He comes to ASU with a 35-19 career record in the junior circuit, is ranked in the top 25 nationally, and is the number two recruit from North Carolina.
