GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida Gators men’s tennis has been tabbed as the No. 23-ranked team in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s preseason rankings. This marks the second consecutive season that the Gators have cracked ITA’s preseason top-25.
The ITA Top 25 Coaches Poll is voted on by the ITA National Ranking Committee. The National Ranking Committee is made up of the 13 ITA Region Chairs, with each chair casting an individual ballot.
The Gators enter the 2024 spring slate with four players ranked on ITA’s singles rankings, including Aidan Kim, entering the season as the 57th-ranked singles player in Division I collegiate tennis, and the top-ranked Gator on the list. Kim is joined by Tanapatt Nirundorn (69), Jeremy Jin (75) and JanMagnus Johnson (86) on the list.
Florida will also see three new additions to the team for the spring, as first-year head coach Adam Steinberg fills out his inaugural roster at Florida with three spring enrollees.
The Gators begin their spring schedule with the Fighting Illini Invite in Delray Beach, Florida on Jan. 12 and 13, and return to Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex on Jan. 19 against North Florida and The Citadel.
