CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Duke women’s tennis junior Emma Jackson concluded action at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Fall Regional Championships on Sunday at the Chewning Tennis Center in Chapel Hill, N.C.
The La Grange Park, Ill., native advanced to the semifinals of the main draw in singles play after besting NC State’s Maddy Zampardo, 6-1, 6-3, and No. 86 Eleni Louka of Clemson, 4-6, 6-1, 6-1, on Saturday.
Jackson, ranked 36th nationally, met 30th-ranked Abbey Forbes of North Carolina in her semifinal match, but ultimately dropped in a 3-6, 5-7 decision to conclude her time at the championship.
The Blue Devils are back in action as they compete in the ITA Fall Nationals Nov. 1-5 in San Diego, Calif.
