Eubanks Joins Atlanta Open Singles Field – Men's Tennis — Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

ATLANTA, Ga. – Coming off his quarterfinal run at Wimbledon last week, former Georgia Tech men’s tennis star Chris Eubanks returns to the courts at his hometown tournament, the Atlanta Open. The tournament, which runs July 22-30 at Atlantic Station, announced Tuesday that Eubanks joined the 2023 main draw singles field.

Eubanks gained national attention when he made his deepest run at Wimbledon last week, defeating two top-15 seeds, including No. 5 Stefanos Tsitsipas, to reach the quarterfinals of the Grand Slam. The Atlanta native broke a 31-year old record set by Andre Agassi for most winners hit during a single year at Wimbledon with 321. Eubanks has now risen to a career-high world ranking of 31.

The White and Gold will be well represented at the Atlanta Open next week as current senior Andres Martin received a main draw wild card to play on ‘College Night’ on Tuesday, July 25.

The official tournament draw and schedule will be released later this week. Tickets for the Atlanta Open are currently on sale at www.atlantaopentennis.com.
