The Utah men’s tennis program is set to compete in the Pac-12 Tournament Thursday, April 27 at 7 p.m. (MT). The Utes enter the tournament as the No. 3 seed and will take on No. 6 UCLA.

IN THE RANKS
Utah Head Coach Roeland Brateanu continues to lead the team into the ITA ranks week after week. Currently Utah is the No. 19 team in the nation, for the second week in a row. The Utes have three individuals ranked in singles and one team ranked in doubles. Patrik Trhac and Berk Bugarikj continue making their appearance in the doubles rankings, this time taking the No. 53 spot. In singles rankings, Geronimo Espin Busleiman comes in at No. 43, Francisco Bastias at No. 97, and Franco Capalbo at No. 98.
SCOUTING THE BRUINS
The UCLA Bruins currently hold a 12-9 overall record, sitting at 3-5 for conference play. UCLA is coming off a 4-3 loss to the Utes. Utah has a 2-11 overall record against UCLA.
The last time the Utes faced the Bruins was just last week where the match came down to the wire and was ultimately clinched by Utah.

The Bruins are ranked No. 36 in the nation in the latest ITA Rankings. Only one Bruin is ranked in the Top 100 in the ITA Rankings in Alexander Hoogmartens at No.88. UCLA duo Timothy Li and Giacomo Revelli are ranked at No. 49 in the ITA Doubles Rankings.
THE UTES AT THE PAC-12
Utah and UCLA have met up twice in the Pac-12 Tournament before. Most recently the two teams met up last season where UCLA came away with a 4-2 victory. The first time UCLA and Utah matched up in the tournament was in 2019 where the Bruins had a 4-0 win in the quarterfinal round.
Utah has a 5-10 record in the Pac-12 Tournament and are 0-2 against UCLA in the tournament.
