EVANSTON, Ill. — The Wisconsin men’s tennis team finished their last road match of the regular season on a low note, coming home with a loss t at No. 23 Northwestern. The Badgers (11-8, 4-4 B1G) lost to the Wildcats (17-7, 6-1 B1G), 4-1.
Down 3-0, senior Sebastian Vile put the Badgers on the board with the first Wisconsin win of the match. At No. 4 singles, Vile took down Northwestern’s Trice Pickens in a quick two-set victory. After winning the first set 6-4, he got another 6-4 win in the second for his 12th singles win of the season, which leads the team.
Up Next: The Badgers close out the regular season and celebrate Senior Day, on Saturday at 12 p.m. when they host the Nebraska Cornhuskers at Nielsen Tennis Stadium. The 2023 Big Ten Tournament will be held on April 27-30 in Bloomington, Indiana.
