No. 22 NC State welcomes No. 8 UVA on Easter Sunday


RALEIGH NC State has already played a brutal men’s tennis schedule. The slate doesn’t get much easier with No. 8 Virginia coming to town.
 
The defending champs will visit the JW Isenhour Tennis Center for a noon showdown on Easter Sunday.
 
Virginia has won straight versus the Wolfpack. 
 
Last time out: NC State defeated Virginia Tech 5-2 at home. It was the eighth straight win over the Hokies for the Wolfpack. NC State secured the doubles point by taking two of the three matches. The Pack won four the six singles showdowns. 
 
Pack in the Rankings:  NC State comes in at No. 22 in the latest ITA Rankings. The doubles duo of Robin Catry and Luca Staeheli were ranked No. 15, while Joe Wayand and Rafa Izquierdo Luque were ranked No. 24. On the singles side Izquierdo Luque is ranked No. 61 and Staeheli came in at No. 70.
 
Scouting the Cavaliers: Virginia (18-4, 9-0) sits alone atop of the ACC standings. The Wahoos are currently ranked No. 8 in the ITA. UVA has three individuals ranked in the top 50 of the ITA singles poll.
