CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s tennis team is set to return to action in a home doubleheader as it takes on Presbyterian College and Wofford at Duckworth Family Tennis Facility on Sunday. The Tigers will take on the Blue Hose at 11 a.m. and the Terriers at 3 p.m.

Clemson will face Presbyterian College for the 11th time in history, with the Tigers dominating the series 10-0 to this point. Clemson most recently defeated the Blue Hose last season by a score of 6-1. The Tigers and Terriers have met just twice, with Clemson winning both of the battles. Most recently, the Tigers upended Wofford 4-0 in 2021.

The Tigers opened their season in style last Friday, sweeping their doubleheader over College of Charleston and UNCG. Sophia Hatton shined in her return to the court from injury, winning her singles matches 6-0, 6-0 and 6-1, 6-0.

The Tigers return eight student-athletes from last year’s roster, including Samantha Buyckx and Jenna Thompson who make up the No. 50 ITA ranked doubles pair in the nation. Clemson also welcomes newcomer Leigh Van Zyl to the fray. The native of South Africa will look to make an immediate impact on Head Coach Amy Sargeant’s squad.
