DURHAM – Michael Heller, Garrett Johns, and Andrew Zhang of Duke men’s tennis will represent the Blue Devils at the 2022 ITA National Fall Championships which is set to begin Wednesday at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif.
Johns, who is participating in the singles competition and is slated as the No. 1 overall seed, will face Pierce Rollins of Texas A&M in his opening round. That match is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. PT. Thanks in part to his UTR ranking, Johns becomes the first Blue Devil to be seeded at the No. 1 overall spot for this national tournament.
Heller and Zhang, who earned an at-large bid, team up for the doubles event and battle Younes Lalami and Brandon Perez of Old Dominion at 1:30 p.m. PT.
The event runs Wednesday through Sunday.
