TULSA, Okla. – The Wildcats wrapped up an impressive performance in the ITA All-American Championships main draw with two solid doubles wins and an appearance in singles. Arizona doubles pair Jonas Ziverts and Herman Hoeyeraal are ranked No. 13 in ITA ranks and were seeded 5-8 in the main draw.
They started off round one with a win in a top-20 matchup against No. 17 Andres Martin and Marcus McDaniel (Georgia Tech) advancing them to the round of 16 where they fell in a tough battle against No. 26 Brian Cernoch and Ryan Seggerman (UNC).
No. 32 Ziverts made his third appearance in the main draw at the tournament where he competed against No. 40 Max Basing (Stanford), winning the first set but ultimately falling after three. He stumbled in the first round of the consolation draw against No. 8 and 7th-seeded JJ Tracy (Ohio State).
Next up for Men’s Tennis is another tournament in the Golden State at the University of San Diego Hidden Dual hosted Oct. 14-16.
