Nirundorn, Jefferson Advance to Doubles Finals


This marks the Gator’s first doubles pair to reach the finals since 2018.

ATHENS, Ga. – Florida doubles duo Tanapatt Nirundorn/Henry Jefferson will compete in the final round of doubles competition on Sunday morning. The duo will face No. 2 Freddy Blaydes/Niels Ratiu (Georgia).

Nirundorn/Jefferson advanced to the final round after defeating Christophe Clement/Krish Arora (Georgia Tech) 6-4, 7-6.  This marks the first time Florida has had a doubles pair reach the finals since Johannes Ingildsen / Brian Berdusco. The duo defeated Sebastian Arcila / Alex Knaff (Florida State) 6-2, 7-6 in 2018 and claimed the Doubles Title.

Doubles duo Jeremy Jin/Kevin Edengren competed in the semifinals against No. 2 Blaydes/Ratiu but dropped the match 4-6, 5-7.

“I’m super proud of Tanapatt and Henry for advancing to the finals. I’m also proud of Jeremy and Kevin for making it to the semifinals. Having Florida in the finals again is a big thing, its what we work hard for and I can’t wait to see them compete for a title on Sunday.”
