CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The Atlantic Coast Conference will be well represented at the 2024-25 NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis Singles and Doubles Championships, as the NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis Subcommittee has selected the 64 singles players and 32 doubles teams for the individual championships.
This is the first year of a two-year plan for the singles and doubles championships to be conducted in the fall, with the team championships continuing to be held in the spring.
The singles and doubles competition will be held November 19-24 at the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas. Baylor University will serve as the host.
The ACC had 17 individuals selected for the 64-team singles field, highlighted by four players from California and three players from NC State. Duke and Florida State also had multiple players chosen for the singles championships.
In doubles, 10 teams were selected, including an alternate, again headlined by two teams from the Golden Bears.
Cal leads the nation with four student-athletes heading to the NCAA Singles Championship and is tied for the most doubles entrants in the field with its two teams.
Singles and doubles participants qualified for the NCAA Division I singles and doubles championships via competition in approved qualifying pathway events – ITA All-American Championships, ITA Regional Championships, ITA Conference Masters Championships and ITA Sectional Championships.
