SALT LAKE CITY – Utah women’s tennis’ head coach Ric Mortera has officially announced the addition of Emma Kamper to the 2023-24 roster.
“We are really excited about Emma coming to Utah, she has tremendous potential and we are looking forward to continuing the development of her game,” Mortera said. “We enjoyed getting to know her and her family during the recruiting process and believe she will bring a lot of great qualities to our program and has a very bright future ahead.”
Kamper will be a true freshman for the Utes. She comes to Utah from Vejle, Denmark.
In Denmark, she has consistently ranked as one of the top five junior players in the country and was runner-up in the Team Elite Division, as well as the Team Juniors. She was also named the regional singles and doubles champion.
Kamper has also seen success on the world stage as well, reaching the finals and semifinals of multiple singles and doubles events on the ITF World Junior Circuit as well as Tennis Europe events. Her efforts have resulted in being ranked among the top 500 junior players in the world.
