17-year-old Linda Noskova, the 2021 Roland-Garros girls’ singles champion, is turning out to be a ringer as a pro.
The Czech has won two ITF titles in 2022, and last week she reached the semi-finals on home soil at Prague. Her reward? A top-100 debut, where Noskova is the only player under 18.
The Czech comes in at 94 on Monday, rising 18 spots.
Potapova top-50 debut
21-year-old played Anastasia Potapova also hits a ranking milestone, making her top-50 debut. She playhed the final in Prague this week, and also won her first title earlier this year at Istanbul – Potapova has reached at least the semi-finals of her last three events. She rises from 59 to 48.
Warsaw champion Garcia back to 32
After completing her title run in Warsaw, Caroline Garcia rises 13 spots from 45 to 32. The former World No.4 claimed her ninth career title and earned her first win over a reigning World No.1 when she defeated Iga Swiatek in the quarterfinals at Warsaw.
Warsaw runner-up Ana Bogdan is the biggest riser inside the top-100 this week. The Romanian jumped 33 spots from 108 to 75.
Also jumping was Marie Bouzkova, who rises 20 spots after claiming her first career title at Prague. The Czech jumps to No.46, matching her previous career-high.
