WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – A pair of singles wins and a doubles victory highlighted the start of the Virginia Tech Halloween Clash for the Purdue men’s tennis team on Friday.
Michal Wozniak picked up a win in his first match of the season, downing Virginia’s Ty Switzer over three sets 6-1, 4-6, 6-2. Freshman Mujtaba Ali-Khan added a three-set thriller over Peter Kalocsai from East Tennessee State to the win column. The rookie rallied from a set down to take the match 1-6, 7-5, 6-3.
In doubles, Julen Morgan and Tomasz Dudek teamed up to down Kalocsai and his playing partner Francisco Lamas from ETSU 6-4.
