KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Following a season that saw the Tennessee men’s tennis team advance to its fourth consecutive NCAA Super Regional and finish with an end-of-year ITA national ranking of No. 9, head coach Chris Woodruff announced the Vols’ 2023 fall schedule Tuesday.
Tennessee returns three players from its 2022-23 squad, including 2023 SEC Player of the Year Johannus Monday, All-SEC Second Team selection Shunsuke Mitsui and graduate Angel Diaz. UT adds an incoming junior transfer in Chris Li and five freshman–Filip Apltauer, Nicolas Kobelt, James Newton, Olaf Pieczkowski and Filip Pieczonka.
The Vols kick off their 2023 fall slate in Knoxville at Barksdale Stadium, competing in the UTR Pro Tennis Tour, which runs Aug. 28-Sept. 3.

UT is slated to make two trips to the state of Oklahoma in the fall–the Big 12/SEC Challenge, hosted by Oklahoma State in Stillwater from Sept. 22-24 and the 2023 ITA All-American Championships, running Sept. 30-Oct. 8 in Tulsa.
Chattanooga will serve as the host site of this fall’s ITA Ohio Valley Regionals, running Oct. 12-15 at the Champions Club Tennis Complex.
