LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – The Utah women’s tennis team ITA Mountain Regional Championships ended on Saturday as they were knocked out of the main draws.
“We got better this week,” stated head coach Ric Mortera. “In certain facets, we definitely didn’t execute to the level we expected of ourselves, but this was a good experience for us, and we will continue to get better. We are very much looking forward to getting back to Salt Lake and getting back to work.”
In the semifinals of the doubles draw, third-seeded Madison Tattini and Anastasia Goncharova matched up against Yujia Huang and Emilee Astle of BYU. The Utes came up short as they were defeated 7-5, 6-2, to be eliminated from the main draw.
