Women’s Tennis Welcomes New Transfer

TUCSON, Ariz. – The Arizona Women’s Tennis team is proud to announce that Tucson’s own Jamie Schroer is the newest addition to the Wildcat family.

Schroer will join the team as a graduate student transfer from Santa Clara University with an admirable list of accomplishments to come with her.

She finished her career at SC with an overall singles record of 41-46, playing in the top three spots, and 43-47 in doubles. Schroer ranked No. 20 in singles for the Northwest Region of the 2022 ITA Regional Rankings.

Schroer was also named an ITA All-Academic four times, a WCC All-Academic three times and a WCC All-Conference Singles Honorable Mention in 2022.

In high school, Schroer ranked as high as No. 61 per Tennisrecruiting.net (2018) and reached a USTA National Ranking of No. 49.

“I chose the University of Arizona because of the opportunity to join the hardworking, competitive, and supportive Arizona Athletics community, to pursue my MBA in the Eller College of Management, and represent my hometown of Tucson as an Arizona Wildcat,” Schroer said.

“I’m excited to learn from Coach Ryan, be part of the team, and further develop as a tennis player. Bear down!”

Schroer is a Wildcat at heart and a student-athlete who combines both academic and athletic excellence.

Welcome home Jamie and Bear Down!
