Women’s Tennis to Compete in Regional Championships – University of South Carolina Athletics

Winston-Salem, N.C.  – South Carolina women’s tennis will continue their fall slate at the ITA Carolina Regional Championships held in Winston-Salem, N.C. The multi-day tournament will run Thurs., Oct. 13 through Mon., Oct. 17.

The Championships will take place on the campus of Wake Forest University at the Wake Forest Tennis Center. Spectator parking will be available in the Gold Lot located at 132 W 32nd St. Spectators should enter through Gate 3 of the football stadium concourse. Parking will not be available at the Indoor Tennis Center.

Draws and schedules for the tournament will be made available on the tournament webpage. Live streaming will be available for the Wake Forest outdoor courts 1-6 and indoor courts 1-8. Links to all streaming can be found here and court assignments can be found here. Court assignment will be updated throughout the event.

The Gamecocks have won one regional singles title in 1988 and one regionals doubles title in 1987. South Carolina is 145-100 all-time in singles and 68-40 all-time in doubles at the event. During the 2021 Regional Championships, the Gamecocks went 23-11 in singles and 6-4 in doubles.

All nine Gamecocks will participate in this year’s Regional Championships. At last year’s edition of the tournament, senior Ayana Akli finished as the Regional Runner-Up.
