SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah women’s tennis team had three student-athletes earning a spot on the ITA Scholar-Athlete team for the 2021-22 academic year, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Monday morning.
Along with the three athletes earning individual honors, the women’s tennis team as a whole earned an ITA All-Academic Team award after posting a combined grade point average of 3.20 or above for the academic year. This year’s team award marks the seventh-straight as a program.
Anastasia Goncharova, Katya Hersh, and Madison Tattini pulled in this year’s ITA Scholar-Athlete selections for Utah. Tattini became a four-time honoree, while Goncharova became a three-time selection. Making their second selection was Hersh.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, student-athletes must have a grade point average of a 3.5 or above for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
