Women's Tennis Receives ITA Academic Awards

TEMPE, Ariz. – The UCLA women’s tennis team and five Bruins were honored Monday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), which announced the 2022 Division I Women’s ITA Scholar-Athletes and All-Academic Teams.

For the fifth year in a row, Stella Sampras Webster‘s squad was named an All-Academic Team for possessing an overall grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.2 for the 2021-22 academic year.

Individually, Ava Catanzarite, Caroline Goldberg, Vanessa Ong, Sasha Vagramov and Elise Wagle each held a GPA of at least 3.5 for 2021-22 to warrant inclusion on the Scholar-Athletes list.

Goldberg and Vagramov have now made the cut to conclude each of her three seasons.

Ong earned a spot for the second time in as many years.

Catanzarite and Wagle, who recently completed their debut seasons, each made the cut for the first time.
