Women’s Tennis Prepares For Second Round of SEC Championships

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Ole Miss women’s tennis advanced to play Auburn in the second round of the SEC Championship. The match is set for Thursday, April 29, at 9 a.m. CT.

SERVICE LINE

• The Rebels swept Missouri, 4-0, in the first round of the SEC Championships. The team is now 2-0 against the Tigers in the SEC Tournament.
• Ole Miss has won two of the last four meetings against Auburn. In 2020-21, the Rebels went to Auburn and got the 4-0 sweep over the No. 18 Tigers.
• The team faced the Tigers in Auburn earlier in the year. Rebels were edged 4-3 after coming down to the last singles match.
• Ole Miss has three players with 15 or more singles wins. All three also have 10-plus dual sin-gles wins. Two others have 10 or more singles wins.
• The team also has four players with double-digit doubles victories.
• The No. 6 singles position has been stellar, with a 16-4 record. Zadori helped with her 8-3 No. 6 singles record.
• Kareisova keeps climbing the rankings, moving 12 more spots to No. 50.
• In conference, Kareisova’s taken down four ranked opponents, including her first top-25 op-ponent in No. 21 Elza Tomase. She is 7-3 in singles matches.
• The winner of Thursday’s matchup will face Florida for a chance at the SEC Semifinals.

– Compiled an 18-13 overall singles record and a 14-12 overall doubles record
– She and Mize grabbed theirs, and the team’s second ranked doubles victory over No. 83 Mae and Inah Canete
– Made the ITA Fall National Championships in singles as the South Region runner-up
– Reached the round of 16 in doubles at the ITA South Region Championships in 2021

– Has a 16-10 singles record and 13-12 doubles record
– She is also 7-5 against ranked opponents in singles
