Starkville Miss. – Ole Miss women’s tennis heads to Starkville for a clash against their in-state rival Mississippi State on Friday, March 31. The match will begin at 4 p.m. CT.

SERVICE LINE

  • The Rebels dropped matches against No. 26 South Carolina and No. 19 Florida.
  • Ole Miss holds a four-match win streak over the Bulldogs. The last time the Rebels lost to them on the road was during the 2015-16 season.
  • Ole Miss has three players with 15 or more singles wins, which includes two with 10-plus dual singles wins
  • The team also has three players with double-digit doubles victories.
  • Overall, the bottom of the singles lineup has been stellar, with a 19-8 record at the No. 5 and No. 6 positions.
  • Kareisova vaulted up 31 spots to No. 62 in the latest ITA Singles Rankings after going 4-0 with two ranked wins from March 7 to March 14.
  • In eight conference matches, Kareisova’s taken down three ranked opponents and is 6-1 in singles matches.

Lillian Gabrielsen (Sr.) – Oslo, Norway
– Compiled a 15-11 overall singles record and an 11-9 overall doubles record
– Made the ITA Fall National Championships in singles as the South Region runner-up
– Reached the round of 16 in doubles at the ITA South Region Championships in 2021
Ludmila Kareisova (So.) – Liberec, Czechia
– Has a 15-8 singles record and 10-10 doubles record
– She is also 6-3 against ranked opponents in singles, with three coming in the last five matches
– She is 6-1 in SEC singles play. Kareisova started 6-0 in the conference
– Kareisova moved to the No. 1 singles position
– ITA South Region Championships doubles runner-up, which earned a spot in the ITA National in 2021
Emma Kette (Fr.) – Rammelsbach, Germany
– Has a 9-8 singles record and a 6-7 doubles record
– First Rebel freshman since Alexa Bortles in 2016-17 to start her dual career 6-0
– Joined the squad this January
