TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women’s tennis team (4-1) picked up its fourth win of the season on Friday after defeating Kansas State (4-2) in a 4-3 victory. The Crimson Tide remained undefeated at home, recording its third win inside the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Tennis Facility this year.
Alabama earned the opening point over Kansas State with wins from doubles duos Ola Pitak and Loudmilla Bencheikh on court two and Klara Milicevic and Anne Marie Hiser on court three. Pitak and Bencheikh defeated Maralgoo Chomsomjav and Manami Ukita, 6-3, while Milicevic and Hiser secured a 6-3 victory against Charlotte Keitel and Vanesa Suarez.
During singles, Hiser, on court two, and Milicevic, on court six, recorded the first two singles points with straight-set wins over Veronika Kulhava (6-3, 6-2) and Maria Santos (7-5, 6-2), respectfully. Bencheikh fell behind early in set one but won sets two and three to claim the victory (1-6, 7-5, 6-2).
