CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – All nine Fighting Illini women’s tennis student-athletes and the team as a whole were honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for their work in the classroom during the 2023-24 academic year, the organization announced on Monday.

Illinois owned a combined team GPA of 3.89 during the fall semester and 3.75 most recently in the spring term, exceeding the 3.2 GPA necessary to qualify for the ITA All-Academic Team award.

All nine Fighting Illini student-athletes surpassed the 3.5 GPA required to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2023-24 campaign.

In 2024, 1,573 Division I women’s student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, and 255 women’s tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
