Women’s Tennis Lands at #6 in Top Recruiting Class


MARIETTA, Ga. – Over the winter, NC State women’s tennis signed three upcoming additions to the program. Coming experienced from all over, Gabriella Broadfoot, Reya Coe, and Maddy Zampardo sealed the #6 ranking for the Wolfpack among the top recruiting classes in the nation. 

The Tennis Recruiting Network established a media poll consisting of junior tennis experts that voted on the top classes around the country. NC State finished in sixth place with 354 points in the voting, only 86 points behind the #1 spot that had 440.

The trio is set to join the team as freshmen in the upcoming 2023-24 season. Zampardo will be the fourth blue chip player in program history and is the top-ranked recruit out of Michigan. Out of Texas, Coe is a five star recruit and ranked No. 4 recruit out of the state. Broadfoot is currently at her career-high ITF ranking of No. 97, in addition to a WTA doubles ranking of No. 1,174.

Reya Coe – Plano, Texas

Five star recruit … Ranked as high as No. 38 in Class of 2023 … Currently No. 50 overall in the signing class and the No. 4 recruit out of Texas … Highest USTA 16s singles ranking was No. 15 … Singles finalist at the 2021 February USTA L2 event … Singles finalist at 2021 October USTA L2 … 2021 Texas Slam State Championship singles finalist … Singles semifinalist at the 2021 Eddie Herr 16s Championships … Doubles finalist at the 2021 Atlanta ITF J4 and 2021 Jalisco, Mexico ITF J4 tournaments.

Maddy Zampardo – Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.
