LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Penn State women’s tennis team fell to LMU on Friday, 4-1.
DOUBLES
The Nittany Lions were able to grab the first point of the match by collecting doubles wins on courts 2 and 3.
On court 3, Jordina Cegarra and Alina Lebedeva won their match versus Fiona Arrese and Anna Paradisi, 6-3.
Yvonne Zuffova and Sofiya Chekhlystova easily declared victory in their match against Ste Rogozinska-Dzik and Kim-Michaels Zahraj, 6-1.
Olivia Dorner and Karly Friedland’s doubles match was left unfinished.
SINGLES
LMU won four singles matches to clinch the match.
Alina Lebedeva dropped her match against Anna Paradisi, 6-1, 6-1.
At 2, Olivia Dorner fell to Isabe Tcherkes-Zade, 6-3, 6-3.
Yvonne Zuffova lost her match versus Carlota Molina, 6-3, 7-5.
At 5, Karly Friedland dropped her match in three sets to Romane Longueville, 3-6, 6-2, 6-4.
Sofiya Chekhlystova’s and Jordina Cegarra’s matches were left unfinished.
