Women’s Tennis Earns ITA Academic Nod – Vanderbilt University Athletics – Official Athletics Website

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt women’s tennis program received All-Academic Team honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association and six individuals were recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes, the organization announced Monday.

Seniors Anessa Lee and Holly Staff, junior Amy Stevens and sophomores Bridget Stammel, Naomi Katz and Sonya Macavei were all named 2024 scholar-athletes by the ITA. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must boast a minimum grade point average of 3.50 for the current academic year.

In 2024, 1,573 Division I women’s student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, and 255 women’s tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.

The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program with a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above. All varsity letter winners were factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
