PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Penn State women’s tennis team dropped its match versus UPenn on Sunday, 6–1.
DOUBLES
The Nittany Lions grabbed their point by winning two doubles matches. Olivia Dorner and Karly Friedland defeated Esha Velaga and Iris Gallo, 7-5.
Yvonne Zuffova and Deanna Lasorda won their match against Gavriella Smith and Liza Tkachenko, 7-5.
Danielle Alamo and Alina Lebedeva fell to Eileen Wang and Maya Urata, 6-4.
SINGLES
UPenn claimed every singles match to declare victory. Olivia Dorner fell to Esha Velaga, 6-4, 6-2.
Yvonne Zuffova lost a hard fought match to Gavreilla Smith in three set, 7-5, 3-6, 10-8. Karly Friedland dropped her match to Iris Gallo, 6-3, 6-2.
Alina Lebedeva fell in her match to Eileen Wang, 6-4, 6-2. Deanna Lasorda dropped her match to Liza Tkachenko, 7-5, 6-2. Kate Zink lost her match to Sasha Motlagh, 6-0, 6-1.
