KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee women’s tennis team members Conley Raidt, Maeve Thornton, Elim Yan and Saray Yli-Piipari are set to compete in the Woman of Troy Invite. The event, slated for Friday through Sunday in Los Angeles, is hosted by the University of Southern California.
The draw will feature competitors from Tennessee, USC, UC Santa Barbara, Pepperdine, BYU and Wisconsin.
Assorted doubles will kick off action on Friday at 1:15 p.m. ET, followed by assorted singles. On Saturday, play will begin with doubles at 1:30 p.m. ET, followed by singles. The Sunday slate features both singles and doubles matches starting at noon ET.
Draws and times will be finalized by the end of the day on Thursday. The tournament will have live stats and a live stream available for viewers.

Player Previews:
Conley Raidt – Freshman
Raidt is set to take the court for the Big Orange for her collegiate debut. The lefty graduated from Rivers Academy Private School and won two individual state titles, one in 2024 and the other in 2021. Raidt’s 2022 competition consisted of two national tournament doubles champion titles, in addition to tallying one finalist finish and one semifinalist finish.
Maeve Thornton – Sophomore
Thornton is coming off of an impressive past weekend at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic at which she finished as a doubles finalist with partner Vanesa Suarez. Thornton joined the Lady Vols after a year at Furman, where she posted a 9-11 dual-match record in singles and served as the No. 2 player in the Paladins’ lineup in 2024. Prior to her time in college, Thornton was rated a blue-chip recruit by tennisrecruiting.net and was ranked as high as No. 22 nationally. The top-ranked player in Tennessee led Knoxville Catholic to a pair of state championships and claimed two individual singles state titles.
Elim Yan – Freshman
Yan is slated for her second collegiate tournament this weekend after claiming a pair of wins this past weekend at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic. Before arriving on Rocky Top in the fall of 2024, she claimed both the J3 ITF Gallipoli Youth Cup title and the J2 ITF Thailand Doubles title. Yan was also the 2023 U18 Australian Nationals singles and doubles semifinalist, as well as a 2022 U18 Australian Nationals singles and doubles finalist….
