KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The No. 17 Tennessee women’s tennis team is set to begin its postseason journey as the team heads to Athens, Georgia, for the 2024 SEC Women’s Tennis Tournament. The Lady Vols will face the No. 5 seed, Auburn at 6 p.m., on Friday at Dan Magill Tennis Complex.
The Lady Volunteers (17-6, 9-4 SEC) claimed the No. 4 seed in the tournament after recording a 9-4 ledger in Southeastern Conference play this year. The nine-win season marked the third time in head coach Alison Ojeda‘s tenure her squad has produced at least that many victories in SEC competition. The Big Orange has been at its best of late, registering six consecutive wins, including back-to-back sweeps to close out the regular season.

Scouting the Tigers:
Tennessee leads Auburn in the all-time series, 38-12, and is 7-2 at neutral sites. The last time the two squads met was just three weeks ago, on March 29. The Big Orange took down the Tigers in a 4-3 result in Auburn, Ala. Under Ojeda, Tennessee is 5-3 versus Auburn. The Tigers earned the No. 5 seed with a 9-4 mark in conference play, part of a 16-9 overall record.
