The Wildcats won the doubles point in their regular-season meeting with the Trojans with the duo of Colton Smith and Jay Friend and the tandem of Herman Hoeyeraal and Eric Padgham each getting victories.

Arizona left no room for doubt in singles play, getting three quick victories to seal the team win. Hoeyeraal, Gustaf Strom and Smith each charted a singles victory to post the 4-0 victory.

Back-to-Back-to-Back Pac-12 Regular Season Champs

With its win over Oregon on Sunday Arizona won its third consecutive Pac-12 Regular Season Championship, sharing the title with No. 20 Stanford. The Wildcats concluded the season with a 7-1 conference record and tallied a pair of top-25 wins in Pac-12 play.

Arizona is ranked 11th in the nation going into postseason play. Smith is ranked 20th, Friend checks in at 34th and Strom holds the 75th spot in the national singles rankings, and Smith and Friend represent the Wildcats in the doubles rankings at No. 31. 

USC is ranked 53rd nationally as a team and is represented by Peter Makk at No. 76 and Wojtek Marek at No. 106 in the singles rankings. Makk is additionally ranked in doubles with Lodewijk Weststrate at 59th.

With a win on Thursday, Arizona will play the winner of No. 3 seed UCLA versus No. 6 Oregon in the semifinals. That matchup is slated for Friday, April 26 at 4:00 p.m. MST.
