CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia women’s tennis team (24-4) hosts Vanderbilt (14-10) in the Round of 16 of the 2024 NCAA Women’s Tennis Team Championship on Saturday, May 11 at 1 p.m. at the Virginia Tennis Facility at the Boar’s Head Resort.
Admission is free.
The match is scheduled to be played outdoors. Please monitor Virginia’s social media accounts for any weather-related changes.

- The winner of the Charlottesville Super Regional will advance to the finals site, Oklahoma State’s Greenwood Tennis Center in Stillwater, Okla., where they will face the winner of the Chapel Hill Super Regional (North Carolina, Texas A&M) in a quarterfinal match on Friday, May 17

- Virginia is 14-0 this season at home and has won 22 consecutive home matches going back to last season
- Virginia is 27-1 at home over the last two seasons
- Virginia is the No. 5 seed in the tournament, but slipped to No. 6 in the latest ITA team rankings
- The Cavaliers come into the match with 24 wins this season, tied for most in program history (2014 team also posted 24 victories). This is the third straight year the team has won 20 or more matches
- Both senior Sara Ziodato and junior Mélodie Collard collected their 30th singles victories of the season last weekend
- Ziodato is 30-11 overall and 18-7 in dual matches
- Collard is 30-9 and 20-3 in duals
- Grad student Natasha Subhash has won her last five completed singles matches and is 7-1 overall in her last 10 singles matches (with two abandonments)
- Subhash is 24-9 in singles and one win away from reaching the 30-win mark in doubles at 29-7
- Subhash ranks third on Virginia’s career victories list in singles with 116 and is fourth in doubles with 113. She is tied for third in combined wins at 229 (tied with Julia Elbaba)
- Vanderbilt is ranked No. 31 in the latest ITA team rankings
- The Commodores defeated Wake Forest, 4-1, in their opening match and then upset 12-seed Ohio State 4-3 in the regional final in Columbus last Sunday to advance
- This is the 21st Sweet 16 in program history and the 28th consecutive NCAA appearance for Vanderbilt
