CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 7 Virginia women’s tennis team (4-0) hosts William & Mary on Sunday, Feb. 5 at 1 p.m. at the Boar’s Head Sports Club.

NOTING THE CAVALIERS
- The Cavaliers were ranked No. 7 in the first ITA team rankings of the spring but slipped to No. 9 in the second poll before moving back up to No. 7 in week four
- The Cavaliers are coming off a pair of victories at ITA Kickoff Weekend
- The Cavaliers have six players ranked in singles led by Julia Adams at No. 34 and Elaine Chervinsky at No. 50. Annabelle Xu, Hibah Shaikh, Natasha Subhash and Mélodie Collard
- Chervinsky and Subhash are ranked No. 3 in doubles after finishing as semifinalists at both the ITA All-American and ITA Fall National Championships in the fall
- Singles and doubles rankings will be updated next week
- Shaikh is 4-0 in singles in dual matches
- Subhash has picked up two singles wins in dual matches to improve to 10-2 this season
- Sara Ziodato leads the team with 14 singles victories
NOTING THE TRIBE
- William & Mary plays its first two dual matches at home on Saturday, hosting George Washington and Norfolk State
- The Tribe won the CAA title last season
- Virginia is 23-19 all-time against William & Mary including winning the last five meetings
ON THE HORIZON
- The Cavaliers will head to Seattle to play in the ITA National Team Indoor Championships, being held Feb. 10-13
